Fraud, someone hacks into a bank account and pays for goods/services online. Hacker gets the goods//services and the hackee who lost the cash gets it back. That’s when the bun fight begins

I was down in the police station recently for a firearms cert renewal, there was a chap ahead of me at the counter and i was earwigging. He'd just had his bank account cleared out by scammers and he was not happy. He was saying the amount of paperwork, going between the police station and the banks various departments, in person was a waking nightmare.

I thought bank transfer was bullet proof , will have to check that out , normally I have a blanket ban on anyone bidding outside gb but it seems that was out of date or I didnt renew.. hmm.

time will tell on that one , but a potential buyer has asked so its the decent thing to do , well in my world , in the real world maybe not a good idea eh.

Not a week went by until brexit, that i didn't buy at least one item off ebay uk. Machine parts, motorcycle spares, tools, materials. Since the tariffs came in its been hugely expensive to buy anything off it. For me to buy something off ebay uk, i have to basically pay double the price. So a £50 item costs me, between charges, vat, currency difference, post about 90-95 euros.

Exactly the same here. The Germans and to an increasing extent Spain are supplying all the stuff I used to get from the UK. Sad but true. I've seen members selling stuff here I would have bought, just too expensive and complicated now.

Last parcel I shipped to my mate in Portugal took 3 months!
Pallet shipping is a bit better but only because we put so much work into the paperwork.
I am hoping - eventually - to start a European customs agency to do clearances for all of the EU. Can be based in any EU country. Of course it sadly means us creating jobs over there not here.

Same here.
I used to buy a lot of stuff from the UK. But, that's almost stopped now.
I source more and more from within Europe now.
It just became too complicated and expensive.
