Finally got the Sprite engine out of the van and had a quick look at the head, very happy so far it has no noticable cracks, the block is stuck so left it to soak and in the same deal i got lots of spares including a gear box.

It'll be nice if that's a Sprite/Midget box with the closer ratios and needle roller gears. OTOH, if it needs work, there doesn't seem to be any spare gears available for the early "steep helix" Spridget boxes, as I discovered when I came to rebuild one a while ago.

Today I actually un-aquired. Tonight I waved goodbye to my gasless Clarke MIG102NG as it's new owner picked it up. It did a sterling job of getting me started with welding, but with my new Gas Mig aquired last week, there was no point hanging on to it.

It is a sprite box and if it is in good condition i will use it in a moggy, it might need a good clean up.

In a second hand shop today, I saw this box.
Now I knew what it was for 2 reasons.
1. I have had a few through work.
2. I read the label.
The bonus find was the red item.
Different shop, still over the bridge in Wales.
Silver box, mor eon that later.
Terminal screwdriver.
Just another boxwood ruler?

But this is stamped

Here's how to get it to stop steaming up. Its the same method taught and used for snorkelling and scuba diving.......
Wipe your saliva on the inside of the lens and then rinse it off, or, you could buy the commercially made equivalent which is no better.
