Well I picked it up last weekend @ a bargain price ?

2 1/4 diesel

Hope you're going to go back to proper headlamps and ditch the SIII wings.

They always do look good on top, wait till you start opening it up, the stuff of nightmares await.
You may be lucky and have found a good one, time will tell, that said it looks like it will be a nice project these old brusers have so much more character than the newer models.

That's why it was a bargain The lad had no money to fix it and no way to recover it. So I got it recovered to the unit for free with my rac Gave him scrap value £100

It's rolling on all 4 wheels again I'll get round to doing jobs when we are slack in the shop

Yup, IIRC in '63 the rolled bonnet was a deluxe option, as were padded seats, cab heater and indicators.

My dad had a 12 seater Station Wagon of similar vintage, I still have the owners handbook here. Fascinating reading!

Get shot of those 'orrible SIII wings and put the lights back where the belong, that's why I always loved the look of the earlier front ends.

Aw that's no fun now A friend of mine just started a 1968 SII 88" he's putting a new galvanised chassis in and rewiring. It needs some work on the tub as well but it should be a good un when it's done. I'll have to nip down later to see how much progress he's made.
