HELP! Argon Mix Gas Connections??

I picked up a 20L Argon Mix Cyl tonight, & have been in the Shed to hook it all up and try out my new Paton on solid not wire and gas for the 1st time.

There is no info in the bumf from WSD, just some fittings and a short length of pipe.
I fitted the Parweld Reg, & the only way one end of the pipe seemed to fit (a stub pipe onto the Reg, and a QR fixing for the stub that goes onto the tubing supplied nicely.
Ok so far.
But.. The fitting on the back of the welder body.... looks like a type to accept a different kind of QR fitting? If it does.... then I wasn't supplied with it.
The tubing is too small a bore to push fit and then jubilee clip onto the welder end fitting - so i have no obvious eay to connect the supplied Reg to the supplied Welder

Am I just being thick, or am I being frustrated by a missing part? As it is I can't use the welder cos I can't get the gas connected.

that apears to be a quick couple fitting

you can sometimes heat the pipe and expand it so sometimes it will stretch over the end then clamp it with a clip

or you may need another type of fitting with a smaller bore end

That looks like the Euro equivalent of a male PCL, as was fitted to some Lidl/ Aldi air tools.
Maybe the push fit goes on that, not the reg. hose barb... or you need two of them?

Put the hose in a cup of boiling water before pushing it on if it's tight.

that looks like a rectus 21 fitting on the welder , take the quick release of the regulator and try it on the welder first . the fitting on thr reg is usually just a push fit barb .

We have a Winner!
After I posted, I looked closely at the fitting, & it reminded me of a Euro Air compressor fitting. I knew I had one chucked in a box somewhere, crumped on some of the plastic reinforced airline stuff.
I found it and it fitted straight on.
So I removed the supplied tube, put the cylinder end QR fitting on this new pipe, hooked it up and I was away
Yep, I was short of a fitting.
All working now and ive played with some short welds on scrap at different settings.
I need practice and to note some DC Volts/Amps & Wire Speed settings to give me a few baselines.... but I'm up and running.

I tried the QR on the welder end first thinking the same thing, but it didn't fit.
So I've QR on both ends now since using a Euro Airline connector, which clipped straight on

Ignore your new regulator telling you '30 LPM' (you probably know that...)

Welder in work said that if you wanted to be really tight-fisted on gas with zero draught.... It's possible to get away with 12Lpm, but a rate of 20Lpm should be about right to ensure no weld porosity.... so I've tried it out tonight on about 20.
Hopefully that is good advice?

Something else worth trying - is welding with the gas off!
That will show you what a horrid, porous weld looks like with your new machine.

Starting at 10 Lpm should be fine indoors. You can then trim it down until the quality falls off, which could be as low as 6 Lpm on 0.6 wire.
Similarly, try turning it up to 12 ,14 etc. and see if there's any difference.
