Didn’t they estimate that the forest fires in the US put out more pollution than the rest of the world put together, while they were burning? Mother nature makes a mockery of we feeble human beans.

An big asteroid, codenamed 2021 SG, roughly 300 metres in diameter passed between the earth and the moon on September 16. It came from the direction of the sun and it was not spotted from earth until September 17. On the 19th September the La Palma volcano erupted since then there has been eruptions reported on Mount Etna in Sicily, in Iceland, Mexico and other places
and seismic activity in other places such as Israel and Japan. I am not an amateur vulcanologist but I cannot help wondering if the gravitational pull of this passing asteroid disturbed the ocean plates especially along the mid-Altantic ridge and that this has triggered a spate of seismic activity.

I had noticed the amount of volcanoes erupting is more than I can remember in the past, maybe they will finish us off before global warming...

The problem is not the amount of CO2 we are releasing into the atmosphere, the issue (called "forcing") is that this is an additional amount which our climate system has not (yet) evolved to manage. The global climate has settled into a relatively steady state even when you include volcanic activity, forest fires**, solar activity etc. The addition of an excess amount of CO2 is a gentle but steady push to increase the level of CO2 which is what is happening.
In geological terms, this man made increase has been extremely rapid, the climate will respond in its own time frame. It may take centuries for the climate system to find a new steady state because CO2 can remain in the atmosphere for a very long time and the climate system is a gigantic heat engine with huge inertia. While the climate remains unbalanced, it may swing wildly around typical norms, hence the effect we refer to as extremes of weather.
The Earth is gradually getting warmer and all that energy has to go somewhere.
**it is likely that with extreme drought and extreme land management issues, forest fires will become more prevalent leading to more CO2 release than "normal". So in that way yes, forest fires are a pretty bad thing but again, in addition to all the other bad things we're doing!

No. Even if it was 300m diameter (best estimates were under 100m) it is microscopically tiny compared to Earth.
Scale the asteroid down to the size of a grain of sand (about 50k smaller) then the earth is still the size of a cathedral and your grain of sand is two and a half miles away.
To get a better sense of perspective for how large Earth objects are, what do you reckon is the average weight of a typical small puffy white cloud gently scudding across the sky? Answer, about a million tons...

on the news it said they had been feeding the dogs using drones & they were going to try rescuing them with drones as well, I don’t know if it was successful though.

I saw that too. It looked like an ingenious way to get them out of there.
The report I saw this morning said that one of the reconnaissance drones found fresh human footprints by one of the water reservoirs where the dogs had been seen and apparently a banner saying they'd been rescued. Fingers crossed!
