yep that would be my go to for that no need to glue it if it is the right bore it will hold in place wellYou can buy o ring cord by the meter at most bearing places
There's two metal parts, a base and a circular side bit. The O ring sits in a groove and makes the tin liquid tight. I would think silicon too, at a push I could make my own.
I have got some big food safe ones, I will be home in an hour or so and will have a look to see what sizes they are..

I can line tins well enough but the O ring makes it easier. It'd need to be food grade and is it possible to glue silicon? I thought one of its properties was that not much stuck to it.
I think EPDM is providing you buy the correct grade, I think it would be cheaper to buy a silicon onerubber is that food safe?
