Carbide needs high speeds!
I hear that all the time and I always reply it doesn't, you just need to know how to use it. Too many people try the same way as you would with HSS, sharp edge, relatively low depth of cut and relatively slow feed.
Seeing as I was was making a bracket for a shaft eliminator I thought I might as well video the cut.
As can be seen in the video I am approx 614 rpm, the aluminium is 16mm and being reduced to 14mm.
