what is an Ecad file

its a .epw file Sons mate has asked if I can print him a connector. He seems to think a company who sells the connector is going to give away a file to enable it to be 3D printed instead.

Seems a bit strange but I thought I would check it out.

Cant see it being an stl or the other one that seems to be finding favour??

Looks like it might be an option..I was very skeptical but seems like various files will be available at RS. Sadly the downloader is not available and they dont have the part in stock either..

It's a representation file for pcb design..... mouser will have a list of suitable pcb programs somewhere... dont know if it can be translated

Nothing on the linked page was expensive and mouser are top notch for delivery. Ordered a load of Alps pots from them earlier this year.

Shipping hurts so stock up on components while your there
