That was what I was thinking of. Twin wall polycarbonate and a thin printed wedge to neaten it up.Secondary glaze it..? Sheet of polycarbonate on the inside ?
Possibly. But I am a cheapskate.Contact your local glazier, double glazing might not be too expensive. Or can you get a solid insulated door that size for the model of caravan?
We plan on doing that as well.We just had a curtain rail above the door and full length curtain. Was still cold but but better than nothing
You could always put some silver tape round the edge and some fabric stuck to the inside and possibly the outside to remove the UFO lookOnly thing I can thing of is to stick a piece of Kingspan to the door to cover the window wont look good but should be a lot warmer
Sites dead. You could make an insulated black out blanket that attaches to the inside of the door. A mate uses that in his camper van where the bulkhead would normally be, he uses magnets sown into the edges and press clips to attach it. For the insulation he uses 3m thinsulate, this is a copy which is cheaper: https://www.carinsulation.co.uk/pro...n-welded-25mm-hydrophobic-acoustic-insulation
Site works me.Sites dead.![]()
The heavy curtain / blanket works surprisingly well. We did similar for a really draughty front door in a rental place we lived in for a while. Used heavy material and lining fabric and hung it from a shower curtain rail above the door. You could make an insulated black out blanket that attaches to the inside of the door. Works for me.
