That seems well over the top for treadplate. I bought some 6mm about 2 months ago and it was nothing like that.I looked at 3mm tread at it was around £750
if that helps i dont know
in past flat sheet was about half price of tread plate
Nice stuff. Standard is so soft.It has shot up in price for me, don't buy 3mm very often, probably 10 years ago since I did.
5mm is common for me and it is always 5083 so probably one of the more costly alloys.
Anyway I was paying about £140 plus VAT back in April, last week I was £211.
Aye, 1050 is not nice stuff unless you want to form it, gummy for machining or drilling etc. It does have fairly good corrosion resistance and I have used it once or twice for sheeting on boats that were for fresh water as it was a good bit cheaper than 5083 and almost as good corrosion resistance wise.Nice stuff. Standard is so soft.
I know the last time I bought these they were about £85 plus vat but that was years ago.
Will price up tomorrow.
And to think I used to get 8 X 4 sheets of 3mm for £20. LolI bought a 1m x 1m sheet of 3mm checker plate off ebay last year for about £50
The guy still sells it now. Thealuminiumshop.
