Hydrofluoric acid is widely used in the glass trade for decorative designs on glass [pub windows fancy mirrors etc,] we had gallons of the stuff where I worked, stored in plastic carboys, not glass of course as it dissolves glass & penetrates the skin & eats the bone away.I didn't know they used Hydrofluoric Acid in chrome plating. That is seriously nasty stuff, only time I've come across it was in wafer fab sites.
