But still doesn't answer the question - even if you double drive, you aren't going to magic 45,000 lorries out of nowhere - and pay for it from the non-profits they all tell us they are making . . .Back at the leasing companies, they generally dont buy anything other than core lorries and lease everything else.
None.Does this make any sense?
+++++ work for BP, and the word on the shop floor is ...that they instigated a panic, because they have huge tankers full of petrol that is over 3 months old, and basically we normally try for quality purposes keep petrol for no longer than 26 days....otherwise its classed as an inferior batch and stale... they have millions of litres of stale petrol and they need to get rid of it before it is useless.
Started because there are too many complete and utter pillocks who believe faceache etc.It was started for more insidious reasons than that!
Mmm it does Male you wonder what the hell is going on these days!I don't suppose this is a ruse to promote the sale of Electric vehicles.

Wish I could use pay at pump.I filled up at Tesco today. I wish they would make all pumps 'pay at pump' only. I had to wait ages for the bloke in front to find a mask, walk to shop, buy 20 Silk Cut and a loaf of bread before wandering back and putting his shopping in the boot.
If you find you have to run on heating kerosene, add some oil to the tank. Honestly, I wouldn't be comfortable using kero in a modern diesel car / van, given the nature of common rail pumps.just ordered the winter heating oil @ 50p ltr, I wonder how that burns in a diseasel?.....

That went well. Every filling station I've seen this morning is taped up like a crime scene, no fuel to be had anywhere.I'm going to give it a go at daft o'clock tomorrow. I need to fill up the truck, and I also need to fill a gerry can for a pump. So no doubt I'll be featuring on social media as a hoarder.![]()
There is in reality lots of different types of critical workers though pc doctrine only accepts a handful of professions as such the rest of us a a great unpleasantnessThat went well. Every filling station I've seen this morning is taped up like a crime scene, no fuel to be had anywhere.
Fortunately I have enough in the van for day to day this week. Next week I'm supposed to be back in Coventry, but unless things ease I won't be doing that. Knock on effect will be me not earning anything and the vet practice won't have their x-ray room operational. So they'll have to cancel the RPA inspection along with any appointments requiring it. The plumber that's booked won't be able to carry out his work to another room, the chippy won't be able to do his work, and so it goes.
Which leads to the question of what's an "essential worker" in the modern world? I hear the latest brain wave on the news this morning in answer to "How do we calm the situation down and stop panic buying?".
"Lets announce we're going to call in the Army. That should reassure people that all's well."![]()
... and don't forget; if you get pulled and your tank is dipped, you're in the pooh
After they went up during lockdown because people wanted gardens and space to walk, play etc.Have rural house prices dropped this week![]()
Wish I could use pay at pump.
Because my card has had contactless payment disabled apparently it no longer works on them.
