Wish Samsung had issued a warning that you shouldn't weld in close proximity to your S10 apparently weld splatter and mobile phone screens are not compatible. Still works, looks crap but a replacement cost of £225 for just the screen!!!! means that it will be staying that way!

Oh no, the camera focuser can be wrecked by vibration. I imagine that the floating lens gets upset when the bike's vibrtion happens to be a natural harmonic of some component of the lens.

iphones and '28 Chevys don't mix either, try propping the phone against the windscreen as a speedo, then winding the widow open at speed.

Phone bounced around a bit but smashed screen still working and registering 0 mph when retrieved at the roadside!

I had a Nokia 3310 (many years ago!) and I had it in my inside pocket. I went for a blast on the Fireblade before work, as the 9 was always active it self dialled 999 and when I got to work, I heard a voice coming from my pocket!
The person was very nice and told me in future to turn it off before riding as all they could hear was me winding it on......

Same thing for Omega watches. The “unscratchable” glass crystal which indeed had remained unscratched for many years did not take kindly to welding spatter. New crystal was not too bad at £120, but then came all the other bits. Service, 500 sheets, new mainspring another 90 quid, bracelet pins to replace the worn ones, a bloody tenner each, oh and a new bezel. All told was 900 shekels.
