Pressure Reducer - Clarke 160TM

Hello Guys,
This is my first post after eventually joining -
Anyway,here goes -

I bought a 160 TM and am in the process of setting it up.

Everything went well until I got my bottle of Argoshield and was about to connect up the Oxyturbo Mini pressure reg which came with it.

I cannot work out how to connect the plastic gas line , from the rear of the welder , onto the reg.
The manual talks about connecting "the nut and tail to the gas hose ".

Anyone got a photo of this ?
There isn't one with either the welder or reg.

Am I missing something ? (other than a clue !)

Hi , the silver bit you show in your photo is screwed directly into the reg.
Does the thin gas pipe somehow push into this?

This picture might explain it a bit better:

The rubber hose which comes off of the reg is the low pressure line. The plastic tube from the back of your mig is attached to this, and then the reg is attached to your gas bottle via the large threaded fixing on the bottom.

None of this came with the welder.

The reg is avery much simpler looking affair .

I am guessing this pipe can be purchased separately ?

Just a thought, does the 160 come with the fittings for a refillable bottle (3/8 BSP?) or the 4mm pipe for disposables?

Well folks,
Thanks for the help.

It appears that I just had to push the pipe into the fitting and the collar took a grip.

The confusion arose when I read the manual and it seems to have described a different system.

Thanks again everyone ,very much appreciated.
Now all I have to do is get some practice tomorrow evening hopefully.

This takes refillable bottles - I got my BOC bottle on Thursday and fitted the plug,fed the wire through,no "birds nests" as I hear about but I wasn't clear about the gas feed.

Hopefully I can have a go tomorrow
