Thank you, She is well on the way …. Likewise I hope…. XxHope recovery is compleat
just gonna say move to a warmer climate.....sorry.....
spose it's just damp...luckily it hasn't been washed away with all the rain....
Do like my friend Ray does, mix some old engine oil in with it and lather it on every couple of months. Doing his bit for the environment by not tipping it down the drain
Well, we like it. It’s been there 15+ years, been stained three times and the only rot has been a couple of the facia boards, I replaced them this year, a few of the windows are going soft in the bottom rail, but they will do for now.
Ummm, I and a couple of friends, were given a tub of creasote to lather the cricket pavillion at school, aged 11... We managed to get quite a bit on ourselves... then tried to get it off our faces with soap and pumice stone. That didn't go well and we spent several days with white faces after matron coated our faces with some treatment... Knowing now what the stuff does, we (at least I, dunno about the others..) were lucky not to have severe probs.I used to see people doing that with creosote, mix a good sup of old tractor oil through it. Great for things like wooden fence posts, they'd never rot.
Me too..I thought it was new!

That's one hell of a comment.
I don't.. Lots of stuff that we used years ago has now been exposed as toxic. Question af how much and some luck..My old neighbour swore by the old engine oil / creosote combo. Every year regular as clockwork he did our dividing fence. Put sand down first so as not to mess up the concrete drive.
Multiple cancers in his later years...you have to wonder!
Seems to have been retracted? That's one hell of a comment.
This is so true. As a kid I creosoted fences for pocket money. I did lots of things that have been detrimental to my health. It is all coming home to roost now!I don't.. Lots of stuff that we used years ago has now been exposed as toxic. Question af how much and some luck..
What really sticks in the craw, is how much was covered up for comercial reasons. But, no real surprise.
I've taken it away. That's one hell of a comment.
Yeah, I've done that too, the worst, is the following morning, after a few tipples, when it too late.I've taken it away.
Here isn't the place.
