I keep wanting dad/brother to get into making small hay bales specifically to sell, but they're not interested. We just make loads of pit silage and big bale haylage each year and usually sell the surplus in the spring, but there's not much profit in it.

To be fair we find the small bales a good seller here, we only do about 600, sell 400 off the field and keep the rest, the stressful bit is the weather or if the baler going to play! plus 200 is a nice amount to bring in

After eating some chocolate brownie's I sat and watched glue dry.

Then when I came to I sanded them down.

This was the best I could find to plug the hole saw pilots so it will do.
The shops are shut and the challenge was to use what I had.

Exhaust repair for a lad in the village. He is on the ferry at lunchtime with his mates, cue early knock on door. No idea how Kawasaki ‘welded’ this on to start with. Not much before / after pics as it was a rush. Had to turn some tube to make it the right size as I can’t get the right stuff here straight away.

First folding slip joint knife in a long while started today all en9 out of the scrap at work

Modified this tiny cheap bearing puller with an angle grinder in order to remove the bearings and shafts from the Favretto balancer. Even had to make a little extension piece for the screw. 8mm shafts and 24mm housings.
Pressure washed the crud off the frames and ready for shot blasting.
New NSK bearings already arrived so no issues destroying these

don't blast the base where the uprights go. That's probably been ground for contact and square

I couldn't find the modified today thread so I'll post here instead.

Ive had a 13.8v 10 amp transformer bench power supply for a few years now. when I got it I fitted a voltmeter/ammeter and a 10a resettable fuse, but for the radio controlled models Im working with now I started looking at an 0-30v 5 amp bench supply, but then found that you can get buck/boost converters that can have a DC input voltage of 6.5V to 30V and can output 1.5V to 30V at upto 5 amps of 80W.

then I started looking for a box to fit it in, but vented boxes seem to be nearly as much as the converter, but then realised it would fit into the power supply case with a few tweaks.

to make space on the front I decided that I didnt need the resettable fuse or on/off switch on the front. the meter would let you know if the supply was switched on or not. these were moved to the back of the supply (above the 2A input fuse)

after a bit of playing about I found that I couldnt have the 13.8v output with a common -ve with the converter, so my option was to have either a 13.8v or variable output, so a double pole changover switch was fitted to the front and the converter

and after a bit of wiring

and removing some of printing on the front.

and switched to the fixed 13.7v output

and the variable output, using the switch at the bottom. I could have wired it so that the meter on the left only worked when with the fixed output, but decided that it may be a good idea to show what current the converter is drawing.

think that ended up being a neat conversion.

They're angular contact bearings so the outer race is loose, a blind puller wouldn't work. Only way to do it is the way I did it. Problem was finding a small enough puller... I'm sure they exist, I just couldn't find one! At least not one cheap enough to butcher, lol
The parts are really nice, everything is factory stamped with numbers so it can go back together exactly as it came apart.
Don't worry I wasn't planning on blasting the mating surfaces

If its ABS you can solvent weld another peice to it.

You got me thinking. If it can remelted and persuaded back together again.

A fine tip on the solder rework hot air gun and the application of some clamps later.…
