It has to start somewhere so I thought I would get the burner side of things perfected while I mess with the other bits.
I have looked all over the internet at various waste oil burnerlashups designs and none inspire me with much confidence. Thought I would try the syphon type spray nozzle with an igniter first, fan is from an oil fired boiler with all the gubbins stripped off it and the tank is an old gas cylinder air receiver.
Ingredients gathered so far.
Fire Bricks
Gurt tank to chop up .
Waste oil filter
Syphon jet and igniter
Air receiver and lump of 4" steel pipe.
Made up the burner assembly so I can slide it up/down the pipe to vary length
And mounted burner on a flange, attached a few brackets for the air regulator and waste oil filter, added a few bosses and fitted a strainer.
I will pipe it all up and fire it up tomorrow
