serious flow bench that !!, two of them, presume your running them in parallel for the flow, or are you going in series for pressure? either way, will look forward to seeing that coming together
Seems overkill but its not in the flowbench numbers game, they only make about 250cfm each and on some of the heads I have to test one pump wont quite be enough. They will be run in parallel and be built into one of the benches already in the workshop, I cant justify the space of one of these things as a separate unit.

Not sure paired up they will actually deliver 500cfm with pumping losses/fittings by the time they get to the bench but will be good enough for most of what I need to test, there are a few big block and some healthy small block ford heads need measuring before making cam choices.
Today I acquired two oil tanks, one of which will morph into a smelting furnace And the other into a scrap bin.
These were made old school out of thick steel

Just back from a 170mile run and it is still in place, wasn't sure if it would be or not
Mind you I am just assuming it is still there as I never noticed it flying off, will have to have a look when I put it away for the night.The pads make it stand proud of the headlight by about 4 or 5mm so I don't think silicon would do as it would hold it much closer and I think for best protection it needs a decent gap.
@8ob aye agreed, you'll have losses definitely, no doubt. Running on the suction side, almost sure you'll have issues with one full speed and one variable, could cause strange system effects on and loss of fan efficiency. Multiple fans can be a bit of a pain to set up on ducting systems depending on efficiency. VSD's have made things simpler though compared to fixed speed... give the size of the system you have it might be easier to run both on variable, then try to balance them together as best you can to achieve the flow figures.

I think you may be getting mixed up with the Italian manufacturersstill recommend self tappers, it's a honda, no one will notice anyway... probably think it's an improvement in build quality.....
Did it actually dispose of them or just go through the motions?
Today i acquired a Johnson 3.5hp outboard motor, its about 20 years old. A fellow club member was trying to get it going but it was seized solid. He was going to chuck it in the skip but it landed in the boot of my car.
Got it home & squirted some penetrating oil in the plug hole. Strap wrench on the flywheel & gently rocked it & it freed up.
It now turns over. Just hope the bearings arent ********, its got a new carb on it so it has promise!

yesterday a couple vices came my way
a record no 3 looks decent till you see
the chunk missing from under the fixed jaw , I suppose it could always be built up with weld and ground back.
and a
Samsonia perfect 38A with six inch jaws in usable condition apart from one of the bolts is missing from the front jaws , havn't had look yet whether it's snapped of or just missing this now brings the tally of vices to 5.

Not really acquired as they were already mine, but rooting through my nan's sheds looking for a putty knife (Which turned out to be a pointing trowel 
), I found the Knipex Oetiker clamp pliers I've been tearing my own shed apart looking for.
I was this close to ordering a new pair.
Dip in citric acid should sort them right out.

bargain for the hitachi, had mine for years, excellent bits of kit, as long as you're ready for the start up, hell of a kick off mine, but nothing to worry about in real terms....
