Evening all.
Ive got a 26ft aluminium narrowboat which was originally spray painted when built in 1998 with, I believe cellulose paint. Then about 6 years ago the previous owner had it partly stripped and coach painted in enamel paint.
The enamel paint is peeling off all over possibly because of the different paints of because of poor prep before coach painting.
Because of this I want to strip all the paint off a repaint it.
I've painted several steel narrowboats before, a few sprayed but mostly coach painted. Normally to strip those back to bare metal Ive used a scabbler with carbide teeth but this is a no no on the aluminium so looking a paint stripper but have heard you cannot use standard paint stripper on aluminium. Can anyone advise on what to use.
