From the days when sparkplugs were not a consumable item, you could take them apart for cleaning...
think it might be 8 to 10 years since Ive changed the spark plugs on my cars.......and when I bought them I did stock up on them back in the day as I got some that I use very cheaply. think this might outlast the life of the cars

When I’ve been to retirement sales, there’s often a Champion plug cleaner awaiting bids.
I don't think so. Lodge are using stock from the 70's apparently and even Bosch are made in the far east along with Germany (according to google!)Sparkplugs still made in the UK or am i being silly ?
I was given a bag of tools by a little old lady way back in the 60s, amongst the tools was a tool for dismantling spark plugs . The body of the plug was placed in the handle and the smaller hexagon into a part that rotated when a small handle was turned, it was very low geared to enable even the tightest plugs to be seperated

My father had a tool for dismantling plugs, I think it was originally for aircraft plugs, but could have been KLG. It was basically two box spanners that fitted inside each other & welded to the tops of each were discs with holes around the edge. This allowed a tommy bar to be used to lever against each other, a bit difficult to explain, just wish I knew what happened to it.if you have it , would you post a pic or two if it suits , Ive never even heard of one , let alone seen one ,,,
No,it was a cabinet,with champion logos over it,floor standing.Did it look like this ?
Never knew the make, but I remember my Dad using this to clean the spark plugs on our lawn mowers. It was partially filled with a very fine sand and mounted vertically on a post next to the air compressor. Put a plug in the top rubber ring and give it a couple of blasts and the carbon on the plug was gone.
