To be honest, I'm becoming a real fan of full face sheilds.

I always find that goggles and glasses mist too easily - never seem to get this with my full face shield so I think it makes sense to try and find one.

Some time ago, I recall reading a thread, where someone suggested using a UV marker to mark the workpiece to make the cutting line more prominent - I can see how that would work. May give this a go too.

Well, it's a nice looking unit. Feels tough - case is good quality steel and feels sturdy and well screwed together.



Torch is nice to hold - light trigger action and, again, feels sturdy.



Hmmm.....Wonder where the torch was made?



Earth clamp looks good - again, nice and sturdy.



Unit even comes with the air reg already attached and even has a PCL connector already attached.



Even the instructions are in English!



Overall, it looks and feels like a really nice unit. It was about £100 more than some of the cheaper stuff floating around on e-bay, but the aftersales seems really good and they are a UK based company - which is nice. Also, the spec is better than some of the cheapy ones.

Very happy with this - can't wait to put a plug on and try.

That sounds a great idea - where do you get them from? I've only seen clear, or fully shaded.

We use a company called Bearbreak but I think it is a standard catalogue used by other companies like Cromwell etc. Only link I could find
My mistake it was a shade 3 strip

I'll wait and see how you get on with it...... my R-Tech TIG AC/DC has been great so far.

Well, sparked it up for the first time at the weekend and.......it's very good.

Only problem is that I hadn't realised how skilled effective Plasma cutting is. Definitely need to refine my technique / power setting to get some good cuts.

Was getting the hang of it by the end of the day - think the trick is to use a little more power and a slighty quicker torch speed - but I'll get there.

Had to as a question to their cuctomer services people and they really impressed me.

So - so far, so good.
