Today I acquired...........

This little pile came from the car boot sale - a Dymo label maker I don't need, a Sony car stereo that on the face of it doesn't work, and a Gunson Gastester that probably doesn't either.

And this afternoon, found this in a skip, straightened the top and bottom of the case a bit, and now all the drawers open and close.

A couple of very substantial workbenches, in kit form of course. Bottle of MucOff for scale. Lots of big nails to pull out tomorrow.

Be careful putting the hook of straps on rope hooks like that. On many occasions I’ve seen them split apart. Especially being it’s only a small blob holding them together.

Yeah not ideal for this trailer those 10 ton ratchets, I doubt I'd split them though, the rolls didn't really need much holding down with the centre of gravity of them and their footprint.

@Lewis_RX8 , Watched the meeting from knockhill this evening on the telly box. Safety cars made a lot of appearances, looked a good meet though even if the track temperature was lower than the water temperature at our local lake. Hope you had a good day, looked like a big crowd of spectators.
How where the young lads in the Ginetta Juniors that had that nasty looking shunt ? Hopefully both ok.

Yup seemed some races had more laps with safety car than without

The morning was rather cold, Should have taken a jacket but nursed my flask of tea until cold fog moved and we warmed up. Good to see it full of spectators again with a nice atmosphere and really enjoyed it

Lads were okay i think, Mini took a real slam by the hair pin failed breaks or something who knows just never turned but slammed into foam and tires so walked away and a Porsche on fire after busting the sump on high ground and oil going on hot exhaust however again all okay just some interesting bumps to keep the spectators on their toes

I've got that same ratchet, I hate to sat it but it's crap, must be about 10 teeth on the ratchet wheel. Sockets are excellent though, I use them all the time.

Yeah I though the same, I stripped it because it was stuck, I think the main issue is that the spring for the ball is way to stiff. I might try to strip it and see if I can sort it.

Not sure how to get the handle thing off to allow the directional thingy out. Looks like its riveted in or something. I will have a good look at somepoint

They came off a ship that delivered some plate to a national infrastructure project. Apparently they ordered 60 odd - that gives you an idea of the size of the plates. They're labelled 10 ton but i dont think the ratchet would put on even 5 ton. The webbing is probably 10 ton breaking strain.
