eBay Payments

I don't know what's going on with eBay now but I'm having nightmares.

I sold my Harrison steady for £180 + £20 postage.

Then someone hit buy it now on the vice, and didn't pay, tried to back out of the sale saying they bought it by accident. Anyway I let eBay sort it out and refund them. I never received any money for the vice.

So today I receive only £156 for the steady

What on earth is going on. Gonna have to stop using eBay it extortionate and now they're getting it wrong.

Good warning, with that and direct to bank account payments, Don't think I will bother selling on there again, my paypal account was my shed tools account!

Thats rubbish I would be phoning them up and getting an explanation.

Were they to the same buyer, and have you sent the items?
I'd tell ebay the steady is not going until you get full payment.

It's now all a bit screwed since they don't payout for a couple of days so it may well adjust in a couple of days

Exactly this. I used my business account as my nominated account instead of PayPal...so that's another 35p per payout I'm losing!

Steady already been sent. They don't release payment until item has been received now. I've sold the item and paid the postage and made a pittance.

They've taken £11 direct from my bank account without asking last month too, on something the guy opened a case for so I just refunded him straight away. Looks like eBay still take their fee if you refund an item.

I get eBay has to make money. But they are taking 20% off the postage cost too. Bull ****.

I don't think this is the case...they invoke a 2-3day delay but it's not related to receipt

It's how it has worked with me mate. Because I didn't post an item out for two weeks and didn't get a payout.

Yup. I've been paid for everything I sent pre shipping since the change.

Are you sure the £156 is payment for the steady not something you have previously sold?
It says the steady was sold on the 12th and I would expect it to take a bit longer to transfer to your bank than that.
