As far as a uj then I would probably call a local bearing shop, kent bearings, bearingboys, someone like that.

Can you rotate the winch through 90degrees or any angle to make it miss the cross member? Make up a wedge mount to tilt it a bit...

Then still close couple it.

That’s a quality idea but I fear the likelihood of me getting some is small

Just put about a dozen shafts and splined sections in the bin (2 weeks ago) They have to come off to get the 90-degree gearboxes out. Next A319 not due in for a couple of months.
