Today I acquired a cabinet with some goodies in it. I knew it had been dropped off at my workshop so I called in on the way home to put it inside, bleeding heavy/awkward

Inside it has all these nice goodies.

There is a screen/display of some sort on the cabinet, not had a chance to investigate yet but it is almost certainly for the Siemens PLC..

A mt3-mt2 open ended sleeve from RDG. Its a bit poo and might be going back. The rear of the mt2 socket is rough unground in places where the casting was too thin. The only shop I can see selling plain open ended type without a tang drift slot.

They can also be used to put MT2 tooling in a MT3 mill spindle. The open back end allows for the drawbar. Same for things like dividing heads.

Arc Euro do them, what the quality is like I have no idea.

Glad to see you added the “s” on the end - that sentence reads very differently without it

Oh, and a Ferrex (Aldi) 32” lawn scarifier for free, with a burnt out motor.
Which begs a question…. When a motor “burns out” what actually happens to it?
If it’s beyond economic repair most likely it’ll end up in a skip, on here as a freebie or on eBay as “untested”.

the windings get the varnish(insulating) burnt off due to over heating , so will need rewinding , a quick sniff test when covers off will soon tell you ,bit of a unmistakable stink, other faults are often described incorrectly as burnt out though so check it out before skip

He did say it stank.
I’ll strip it down and see if I can get a part number off the motor.
Apparently it’s a common fault with them when they’re used on the lowest setting, it overworks the motor.
