0-100mph the Volvo T6 (estate) I've now got would leave the Audi A5 Quattro sportsback I had for dead, it handles as well
My 240GLT wasnt. 2.3 fuel injected. At 15 years old that was faster, more comfortable, more spacious and more reliable than much of the modern rubbish on the road! I loved that car. I should never have let it go.

100% this. 40 tons takes a lot of stopping, and that's if the driver even spots that the pratt in front of him/her has just tapped the brakes (why would they be paying much attention to that car if the 500 yards in front of the annoyed driver is clear?).

That’s common as well. BMW are known for it. They do it to get the visibility. Also because, and I’ve know idea why, coppers are like sheep when it comes to buying a car. They just buy what they drive at work. Last thing I’d do.

Ford bought Volvo, Aston Martin and Jaguar Land Rover and created their Premium Automotive Group. I think that may have included the US Lincoln marque as well.
Mitsubishi has had more alliances with other car manufacturers than any other it seems to me! Certainly, they had an alliance with Volvo which included platform sharing of the Carisma and S/V 40. This was during the era that Ford owned Volvo.
Mitsubishi are now in an alliance with Renault-Nissan.
I've given up trying to remember which marques are now part of the PSA-FIAT-Chrylser's Stellantis group!
