That's a big one.I bought a bloody big spanner, from FB marketplace. Sold as a "railway" spanner, I have knocked the paint / rust off and there is no railway markings and
no track ganger would have wanted to carry this far
There is a double ring affair as per the photo's ..I am guessing this is a manufacturers mark ??
I dug out my biggest bit of hex and it looks dwarfed at 2.5" accross the flats, The spanner has been used and started as a 3 1/2" inch but looks to been machined out by 1/4" on one side.
It will look good when bolted to the wallnot sure what I am going to do regards paint may go chemical blacking

I have seen that weird offset before and that was described as a railway spanner to me. That one was a lot smaller. About 2” ish. I’m not sure if it’s just a description of the shape or if they are in fact rail / loco spanners.I bought a bloody big spanner, from FB marketplace. Them are very good, I’ve had a chance to play with oneA new saw.
I bet @8ob and @mtt.tr will be jealous of this beast, with it's whopping 4 inches
In all seriousness though, it seems quite capable for it's size.
Went through a 3" Scots pine, at a steady pace.
