It only shares the headlamps, tail lamps, mirror casings and antenna fin with the Std Yaris !!
It’s a 3dr shell (which they don’t make) a rear roofline that is 95mm lower than standard for better aero to the rear wing on the rally car, and aluminium closures carbon roof etc etc

treat yourself they will only go up in value

I drove a mates one a few weeks back what a brilliant little car

I think I've only had a few issues from a reliability point - that earth cable in my first integrale, and a Lancia Beta HPE that randomly turned its head lights off - and a clean of the fusebox sorted that.

A few worn out bits simply due to miles covered. But if someone wanted me to travel to work in Aachen again, I'd be happy to walk out to the integrale and set off to Dover tonight. Especially if they were paying the fuel bill

Its a car I trust in all weathers, all conditions.

It makes me smile just taking it to the local coop as last night . . . and then again walking back to it, seeing it squatting there . . . ready . . .

I do know Grannies shopping car is overall a better car . . . but it won't make me grin like an idiot

that's half of it, I had an Audi RS6 ages back was a weapon with the 4.2 v8 twin turbo

everytime I looked at it I just thought fat estate, didn’t do anything for me

My 740 volvo estate WAS the best car I ever had .. cost me 1,000 quid . ran it for 6 and a half years, I drove it from Lancaster the the far East of Crete a few times loaded with tools and materials , slept in it many times ,only ever put fuel and oil in it and a few tires ... When I tried to put Greek plates on it they wanted 12,000 euros ....so I scrapped it ...very sad ...

I'd seen that too.

If we're still allowed to run cars in 20 yrs time, that will make it very hard to repair or keep running. I can still find standard Delta bits for mine, even though the world now advertises anything from any Delta as "integrale" and adds a good few quid to the price.

The best car in the world, I bought in 1994 2 years old with 20,000 miles, its been laid up for a few years but the final tally on the miles was just under 400,000 from the original 3.0 24V petrol engine and manual gearbox, It ate tyres, 2 head gaskets and the usual wear and tear stuff but it only ever broke down twice for stupid little things
Just put 20ltrs of juice in, a battery and it drove out of the barn to help with the hay collecting

I had a Lancia Dedra, and a Fiat Chroma great engines, but the electrics... Very poor.

The Fiat Chroma was the same floor pan as a Saab 9000 I think, but with a 2.4 turbo diesel engine.

Did enjoy it.

That is just poor maintenance and not looking after it. No vehicle will last if you abuse them and don't clean the crap out of the drain holes etc

Funnily enough, all cars have them! I just take my Land Rover to places that your Audi could not reach

I have a lightweight 1979 Dutton Phaeton I delight in taking place way beyond where the overweight Land Rover gets parked up to the chassis in soft ground

Of course, when it does get stuck, it's a long way from recovery . . . and starts to seem quite heavy when man-handling it.

For a car stuck together by blind YTS welders in the dark, painted by a builder trying to do it as cheap as possible, it's not suffered that badly in the last 40 yrs from rust etc - lives outside all the time its been in my ownership (20yrs) - although not everyone appreciates the moss growing inside it . . for some reason the MOT man mentions it each year . . .

I would love a super basic car like that, or a locost type, with nothing to go wrong, but prices seem to start higher than factoy built cars though..

I open the bonnet on a modern car and have no idea what is what!!!!

Ours go to main dealers these days, you just need model specific test gear and access to main dealer websites for downloads. Our friendly back street garage in Perranporth has just been sold off for flats.
