Fully Synthetic or Semi?

Quick question for you all:

I have a 2004 Mitsubishi L200 with the 2.8 K77 engine. In the past I’ve used semi synthetic engine oil, but the Motor Factor’s computer tells me that it needs a fully synthetic oil.

I was a little doubtful, and @Mikes agreed with me when he saw what I’d bought. When I looked on the Halfords site at Castrol GTX semi, it tells me that it’s not suitable for my engine, so it seems that the computers think it should be fully synthetic.

What do you learned Gentlemen think?

There is 250k miles on my Delica 2.8 which is pretty much the same engine and that's only ever had semi synthetic in it out of the un branded fleet barrel.

alot of the stuff badged up as fully is really semi ...wouldnt get too hung up on it , used a decent brand of the correct grade and change it on time

I went for semi in the end. It’s not seized up yet!

Nothing worse than getting seized up after using a semi instead of fully!!
