When I started on "the internet" (1993ish), it was about 80% ftp, 15%usenet, and 5%html.
Before that was "bulletin boards" running on BBC micros and amigas, and connected with a 1200/76(?) modem.
I remember getting a 9600baud modem whilst doing my A-levels (1990ish) - that was *FAST*
<edit: must have got the 28000 baud just before upgrading to ISDN - I know I had to pay for a PPP driver for my RISCPC>

IKEA sell them in a range of sizes from 200ml, to 2l(?) I think: about 50p-£1 a bottle. (No lager in them, though).
I buy quite a few for my hot sauces.
No longer sold in the UK I believe.

I've come to realise something today - I've made 3L of beer with this kit but nowhere either on their site or in the instructions can I find how much beer the kit is supposed to make. Bit of an over-sight there I think.
In their starter kits they do say that you need an 8L kettle for brewing so I reckon I've brewed half the amount of beer that the kit is designed for. Could explain why my blonde is rather darker than expected?

Just had a look at their site... actually some very nice sounding beers - I might have to give the IPA's a go.
On the guides section they advise using 7l of water and after boiling straining etc 4.5l in the fermenter.

Under the section "how to make beer". Strangely enough I never spotted that bit at all I was reading all the various recipes
So I have double-flavoured beer now or what? It also begs the questions:
1. Do I leave things alone or dilute the bottles down to ?
2. Do I add more sugar to my bottles? I put in half a teaspoon but I see in that guide they say to use a full level spoon. I cracked one of the lids an got very little fizz unlike the original kit I brewd where I got a volcano of it.
Told the wife I have to get another demijohn for fermenting and a 8L cooking pot.
