any other reliable welding foruns ?

I´m a member of this forum sometime ago, but i struggle to find "live" welding foruns in europe i only know 3 of them. Anyone has any links for welding foruns in europe?

What do you mean "live".. you mean one with an active user base? Or.. I'm not being smart.. is "live" a type of welding lol.

If the former, this forum seems pretty decent. Seems to be fairly healthy number of active users based on the number of different users replying to my various posts.

While English, this forum is still in Europe.. just not the Economic Union

I appreciate English may not be your first language, so maybe you have a few problems because of the language barrier. Are you looking for a similar forum in your own language or just European languages in general. To be honest I think you'll find it difficult to find a better forum than this one. If the language is a problem for you, I'm sure there are ways of getting around the problem. Are there any other members from Portugal on here?

I think that perhaps Paulo is asking if there are European welding forums that are active.

Paulo, there are quite a few Portuguese on this forum and also English who live in Portugal. I don't know of other European welding forums (except UKWelder, which I think is aimed at professional welders, and I have not visited). This forum is one of the best I have used and people are very helpful. I have had some most generous help from a forum member in Porto. Is there anything you want from a welding forum that is not available here?

A good thing about forums is sharing ideas and meeting similar minded people. I can well imagine that to have a forum based in your own country, or with many members from your own country, would be a distinct advantage.

As an ex resident of Portugal, now in France, I have yet to find another forum that is so well run and widely followed as this one. The depth of knowledge and lack of 'personalities' on here is refreshing ( OK, you wannabees personalities, keep off this thread. .)

Maybe Paulo is looking for resources and people closer to home? While I lived in Portugal (75 to 2005) it was a bit pre-internet and info and help was tricky, so one just worked in a bit on a vacuum. Now, far easier. Back in 2000, learning to TIG by buying the kit and experimenting... I would have saved huge amounts of time if I could have read the tutorials on here.

I have to say this shows how good this forum is. I once had an UMM Alter and joined a Portuguese forum as thats where there from. Within a few days i was told to leave by many members as i was from the UK

If the OP is struggling we will all help where we can i am sure, or do as i did at time and use google translate worked for me an di did start to learn the lingo.

this forum is the dogs do dars, in other works great, the best infact, not one of the best.

I'm sorry that they ask to leave. I think they are morons. As for the other forums I ask for them because I don't know any forum better that this. The French one is ok but the welders machines tend to be more professional that the amateur ones. The check is ok also the barrier language. The Russian is even worst as cyrilic is Foreigner to me. So I thought there were more welding forums that were worth following. I'm interested in welding but also on the machine specs so I can sort as we say were " Trigo do joio.
