Hello
Just Bought an Oxford Welder (No idea on the model as everything is a bit Rusty.....)
Its been sat in a damp shed for 30 years, was used regularly, & then last used 5 (or was it 10) years ago & worked.
I have a little Job to do, welding some 10mm angles on to a a RSJ to support a dropped timber roof Purlin.
so my question is,
Can i switch it on & try / use it (I was going to brush the top off first ;-) )
or
Is there things i must do first before even considering switching it on.
(i read this Post where i gather if theres the slightest water from condensation then they go bang ??)
In the long run, i would like to clean it all up & repaint (although i am afraid it will only be hand finished & not sprayed paint.....)
Thanks for any advice :-)
