no just pull out what you need from the bottom . if u are getting a pair there ok for inspection but if they get brick dust on them it makes them hard to pull out and useI presume that these always have to be used fully extended ?

I wouldn't trust one of those "collapsible" ladder's as far as I could spit.![]()
Guess I'm just a dinosaur, but thanks, I'll pass. A conventional ladder does not require multiple safety devices, so none to fail.They are fine, no worse than a pair of steps. To fold up unexpectedly multiple safety devices would have to fail simultaneously

If you catch one of those clips whilst climbing it the whole thing can, and will, collapse back into itself.
No it can't, I have checked. I use one daily, and hate rickety ladders. But other designs may be able to collapse, I suppose. Best not to buy one direct from China I guess, but there are millions in daily use with no more issues than standard ladders.Multiple safety devices? I am no Parm type expert but probably fewer accidents than normal ladders, because more care is taken?
