That's not me.

That's the ex owner, trimming an inch of each side of the palette with a chainsaw, to get it between the wheel arches...

This blokes workshop was the best I've ever seen.

Barn, in through lorry size roller shutter, those insulated sectional panel jobs.

Large barn, much machinery he bought as a job lot, on the left.

On the right, a Shelby? Under a custom cover and two or three motorbikes under custom covers.

Loads of racking loads of stuff, then through the doorway I see a white walled machine room.

I ask if I can have a peak...

On the left big Harrison 300 conventional lathe, two Bridgeports, plus all the normal stuff, then coming back into the barn, somehow I'd missed a huge cnc milling machine.

Then after everything is loaded, paid and done, I see though another door in the machine room slightly ajar, a sink. Can I wash my hands I ask, into what you would assume is a tiled bathroom, no loo, or anything, I didn't spot, but probably, then to the left of the sink another door which opens in to the full on bar, snooker table sofa, the lot....

Massive windows, amazing views, I was blown away.

Then he says, do you want than cylinder head skimmer too?

But that'll be another day, and another story....

Mental day, now having a cold beer.

Got a dozen milling slot / end mill thingies, and some R8 collets, all imperial.

The quest for tooling begins.

Cracking day chuffed, the hire van has been cleaned inside and out and returned, even got a fiver back as I did 20 odd kilometres less than expected.

All good.

He wants rid of it for the space, scrap value €200.

Regarding the mill.

Once I got it home, and running that project ground to a half as I found a 4 post car hoist.

Once that was collected, fixed and asssmbled, back to the mill.

I was having issues tramming the nod, but I stoned the table, which helped.

I've not had much use out of it still learning, playing with cutters / speeds and materials.

Collected various bits of tooling and getting there...

Last week I spoke to my bank manager about getting concrete floors down in the workshop and barn, that all went well. Just need to find paperwork now...

I work with boats, he tried to angle it towards boats, I said no old vehicles, that's when it happened.

I had serious problems with the Credit Agricole some forty years ago! I've been with the CIC for the last 35 years, French banks are not like UK banks!!

I don't know if it's good or bad! It's been forty years since I had a UK bank account!! The system is not the same, so things will not function in the same way, it's another attitude!
