Came home from work the other day there was a van with four lads cleaning gutters in the cul de sac.
They had an extended hose brush, a lad up the ladder helping to guide it, they had apparently cleaned the moss out of the gutters first (we all have rough marley type tiles that moss seems to love, the crows and magpies pick it off, it clogs the downspouts), anyway they scooped that out then, cleaned the outside of the guttering, window frames, front and back £250.
They used the water supply from whichever house they were cleaning, no pressure washer, I asked for a quote as we have a full length conny at the back so the gutter is hard to get to. Said it would be an extra £100 for us.
He said they clean the gutter out eash all the plastic with a 'special' chemical ' then rinse and coat it with another special' chemical 'that repels further dirt.
They were finishing off with a rag wrapped round the extended brush.
I said I'd be in touch.
There's a few guys here who will clean moss out for about £40, I won't attempt ladders anymore, too old and clumsy but I fancy once the gutters are empty, cleaning up the outside of the guttering with a decent extension brush, it would have to reach past the conny, any recommendations?
I have a mac powerwasher but don't know if it will take a brush connection.
