Name this scarifier

I think that might be the same as the scarifier I have, I'll have a look tomorrow if I remember & if I can get any numbers off the belt I'll let you know.

I got mine in an auction for £2, works perfectly but the grass box is missing. But if your lawn is anything like ours you'll not use the box anyway as its too small! The first time I did our top lawn I took 3 builders wheelbarrow loads of stuff off a 4mx8m lawn!

if you can have a look if i can get a number off the belt and its the same that would be great as the only chance i got it trying belts at the place above it would be nice to go there with a belt number to help them out

and i know on the grass box the next door said the same as you go over with the scarifier quick rake up and he then goes over with the petrol mower to pickup the small bits for a tidy job

Unfortunately mine is a B&D, not a qualcast, so no help I'm afraid.

When SIF (Suffolk Iron Foundry) were a manufacturer of welding wires they also made lawmowers, Suffolk Punch, etc etc.........I think they started making welding wires for welding the lawnmowers (but Im not sure)
They were in stowmarket then and Qualcast took them over (I think they were almost bankrupt)
These days SIF is just a name.

dont bother ive done it a few times and have to keep doing it unless you love repeat work and it never seams to be good just better than it was

after looking on the net unless you do a lot of work puttingin draining stuff and use special grass sead and then cut reguler its always the same but better for a time

the only reason i do mine out the was so bad it was like walking on a thick carpet spongy so its more about keeping it ok rather than good

If you can measure the length (piece of string) and the likely width/style of the belt (maybe with a pulley picture) then perhaps we could offer advice on what might fit

I have the belt off a scrapped black and decker scarifier which I would be happy to donate if it looks like it will fit

ok good news was only going to post when i known it was working and untill a bit ago i was not sure

It's working yesterday was off work for a day was doing jobs at home on thr roof but got hot so went to the place listed above and they where very good pulled a few belts out and just tryed them and with 2.50 lighter in pocket I had a belt that will do looks right not to slack but not to hard to put on

First run over to get the thing started then thrown over some iron sulphate see what it looks like in a day or 2
