Yep - not dangerous at all . . unless you are one of the 5 . . or the 2000 . . .Got this extending pole last week but used it for the first time today:

Climbing on the trailer to place the protective corners doesn't bother me but if the pole keeps the "Ooh, I've read a book that says that's dangerous" H&S muppets off my back, so much the better.
Think it's a 450 but it's to far away to check. +free delivery.Got the chance of a Clark 6 speed Lathe with stand tools etc, Hardly any use, very cheap/ any good? Think It's 350 model or something of that ilk.

Falls from vehicles and trailers, such as during Loading and Unloading Operations
According to statistics available from the HSE, around 2000 workers are seriously injured every year as a result of falling from a vehicle and about five of these people suffer fatal injuries.
Many of the accidents involve falls from below head height. It is estimated that the economic and human cost of such incidents is in the order of £36.7 million per year.
In common with most work activities, there is no specific law dealing with falls from vehicles, although the Health and Safety at Work Etc Act 1974 (HSAW) and two sets of regulations that are most applicable to falls from vehicles:
Were you fortunate to get the stainless steel pan version ?Today i acquired from the yacht club skip, a Trangia camping cooking stove set, all complete with all its bits, kettle saucepans, frying pan kettle, meths burner etc. looks barely used.
The skip that keeps on giving!
Done well there. Klim is good stuff. No tools, but today I acquired a box I had to pay a heavy extorsion on.
But hey, Happy Day, it contained my new armoured bike jacket, which fits perfectly.

The problem is that the ones who are not competent to step off a kerb let along climb a trailer to strap a load use the same argument as the ones that are. That depends how you define dangerous imo.
If you define it as not watching what you're doing and acting in a manner that's unsafe, I agree totally. But done safely and with due regard for the likely implications of not thinking about your actions I don't see it being any more dangerous than walking across a road. And having climbed on and off trailers for nigh-on 40 years without suffering any fatal or life changing injuries I might be possibly be doing it safely and correctly.
Having said that, if I don't have to climb I'd rather not, given that I'm no longer 18 years old.
I was impressed with their armoured jeans, which I acquired awhile back. Been searching for a first generation black Kodiak ( AA rated ) model in my size since January. The newly issued model has eliminated a couple of features, is only single A rated, has increased in price considerably, and does not have a better spec in my opinion.Done well there.
