had some sleeping pills in 1987 yeah were not insuring your car , had a cough in the 90s yeah no life insurance for you etc i assume?
Could they not refuse to pay out if you didn’t tell them anyway? It may not be you who gets the back-lash from this. Your families may also have life insurance policies limited, or costs of cover increased, if your health notes could possibly show any increased risk in the future.
That may include life insurance (assurance), holiday (travel) insurance as well as house and car cover - who knows?
When I took my life insurance I had the usual questions. Always been a non smoker. The girl said they are allowed to ask for results at PM to see if you were or not and if you lied they wouldn’t pay.Could they not refuse to pay out if you didn’t tell them anyway?
At least you'll get good annuity rates when you retire! (I'm not suggesting an annuity though)overbweight, doesn’t excercise, drinks, smokes, diabetic, high blood pressure, plus some other stuff I don’t know about
yeah premium sale there
But that doesn’t fit with a theory that allows people to get wound up!!![]()

In my pocket? If I ask really nicely and don't sell any of the data I have on you? (Like your name is James and you are located in OrkneyYeah there’s this massive conspiracy to hide the other conspiracies that are based on conspiracies by the lizard people.
Or there people on random websites and YouTube with far too much time on their hands who like stirring the poo
I know where I’m going to put my money....
The thing that amazes me is half the ***** who propagate this ****e have loyalty cards and a mobile phone. In my pocket? If I ask really nicely and don't sell any of the data I have on you? (Like your name is James and you are located in Orkney)
I think there’s a lot of truth to that. There is some genuine tinfoil hat stuff out there. Nation states (ok, North Korea) and their facilitators employing (ok, dragooning) clever young men to hack anything and everything potentially lucrative (profits go straight to the fatherland of course).
In my opinion, the only good reason to opt out is to reduce the amount of data floating about in different institutions that are potentially vulnerable to hack/leak.
All that being said, I feel that by the time whatever anonymous-ing has been done, doubt the value-difficulty ratio for NHS data is particularly high.
Yeah it blurrs the lines a little. I must admit (and I said it in another thread) I tend to take the ostrich approach and bury my head in the workshop whenever I canI think there’s a lot of truth to that.
starting these theories is the new propaganda machine. It’s not just nutters in their spare room, it’s a powerful tool for other governments to cause division and arguments
I wonder if they can sell a list of the opt outs to people peddling conspiracy theories....Each to their own, I'm opting out. I don't trust Boris and his chums or the companies they will share data with irrespective of the assurances given. I guess the acid test will be if people start getting targeted marketing for maladies only listed in your medical records. If opting out means I don't get a phone call asking if I've tried a particular pile ointment then that's worth the effort. Doh! I've just shared some of my medical records, good job I didn't mention the crabs, halitosis and the embarrassing trip to A&E with the hoover and hamster - doh, I've done it again.
