Blowing off boards before bringing them into customers houses etc

i had a cheap B&Q petrol one (suck&blow), and it gave up after around 5 years. Did it work, was it reliable, was it value for money? yes to all these, but it was a killer on the back/shoulders, or for using longer than 10 minutes.

i've now got the Stihl SH86 and its a joy to use. the handles, location of the bag etc etc... worth every penny

I really like my Makita BXH2501. Its my 2nd one. The other one packed up in the middle of the blowing season after ten years of solid use. Didnt have time to fix it so bought another one three years ago from screwfix. https://www.screwfix.com/p/makita-bhx2501-24-5cc-4-stroke-petrol-blower/78870
The thing I like about it is its reasonably quiet, compared to my neighbours backpack sthil, and its also a 4-stroke. It can sit there for six months, then pop some petrol in, choke on, pull the starter doofer once and off it goes.



I have five oaks and other trees to clear up after and it easily manages to cut through 3-4 inchs of wet leaves and pile them up. It doesnt vibrate, so no arm tingle, but it isnt the lightest so I regularly change hands. Its also great for getting the bonfire going as well.

I've also got a battery Makita BUB362Z https://www.screwfix.com/p/makita-dub362z-twin-18v-li-ion-lxt-brushless-cordless-blower-bare/4920k I dont seem to remember paying anything like that for it.

Its okay for blowing the driveway and patio and light grass use, but on maximum warp runs out of juice after 15 mins. Its okay on medium for half an hour or so. It makes quit a whistle on max as well.

I swap the batteries around regular on my milwakee tools
