I see what you're saying and I will take steps to prevent it I'll remove a lot of tiles when I do it, the weight of tiles will be the only problem, the wall is currently that weak it will give no problem, moving back overjust so you know your way is not a good way as you can rip out your wood whilst your pulling the frame back in
you would also have to pull it back equal x5 across its length
using eyebolts fastened to that bar the bolt going through the wood more on the outside to get less chance of rip out
remember you are pulling on weight back in do it wrong and you loose your middle wood
each lift and pull in must be equal or you will pull off the nails
pulling back in from the rafter ends barge boards yes its more work but its safer/stonger and you can really pull back x2 rafters at same time whilst jacking in the middle
just by using 4x4s a wagon ratchet for your roof eye bolts and a jack in the middle
One of those things you won't won't know until you get on with it, waiting for the better weather to arrive to actually pull it back, least I'll be readyok then if you are doing it that way
then id advise getting
a roll of felt
some latts 4-6 lengths
you know how many rafters you have so you need so many 4x2s
let me explain why as you pull in the top rafter can seperate and needs to be hammered back in
you will damage the felt there you need to reseal using the felt dosnt always do it but nails have a habbit of levering themselves loose
you need the roll cut into 2 so you can repair the bottom for access to the new 4x2s to nail them to your rafters as well as your wall plate
unsure on the condition of your roof latts but you can always pull them up whole these may need to be replaced due to access
That's the way I intended using very small adjustments so it goes gradually, not in a rush for it to collapselift the sag this way
pull the sides in on tension the more the better
then jack the center up
dont do it the other way around as you can jack the center piece out of its nails
put more tension on the rafters to pull in and lift up again and continue to do so until you have your height back and the sides in again

well once done get some 4" roll insulation and insulate your roof makes it warmerHadn't even considered a ceiling in here until mentioned on here, now though,![]()

Had my last garage insulated, it was split into 2, a room at the back and standard garage front, front insulated with kingspan rear rockwool type, the rear was far quieter when it rainedwell once done get some 4" roll insulation and insulate your roof makes it warmer
some 4mm plyboard you will need screws and 1" washer as well as screws will screw through the plyboard the washer will stop that![]()
It has 2 on the opposite wall and one on the wall that is leaningIf you don't have them already, I would consider some Piers or Buttresses built into those 4" walls. You can fix them in with Expamet stainless starter kit.
That's good at least. It has 2 on the opposite wall and one on the wall that is leaning
