Same hereWhen our dishwasher (me) goes slow the management (my wife) gives it a good verbal kick up the arris which surprisingly works very effectively. The wash pump, drain pump, control thingammy and power supply all seem to sort themselves out with such focused and structured attention.
The repair man said it was faulty. I think he took one look and decided he wasn’t in the mood to fix it. I’m gonna have a look on the weekendAre you sure it's the motor that's faulty? Had mine in bits for a similar fault last year, but it would still work intermittently.
Disconnect the wiring from the motor, wire it direct to the mains and see if it runs ( with a couple of litres of water tipped in first). I traced mine to the controller that way, but no luck fixing it. Replaced all the suspect board-level parts, then the whole controller. Still no dice. Gave up in the end and scrapped it.
Wash motor is usually induction so it's also possible the run capacitor could have failed. eSpares should have both bits but I often find you can go direct to the manufacturer and get genuine parts for not much more.
