I used this stuff for the first time on a repair for a pal last week and was hugely impressed. I didn't think for a moment it would work, but it did and saved turning, drilling etc 'Ordinary' Loctite wasn't up to it, but this was.

Definitely not, he's my best pal whom I've known for approaching 60 years - besides he does the odd wood-bothering job for me, or supplies bits of hardwood if I need some for projects.

What size boat is it? If manageable I’d be chucking an outboard on the back instead of fancying about on something that’s coming out anyways

Friend used to push his 34ft 13 ton engineless gaffer around around with a Seagull outboard on the dinghy secured alongside. Bit cumbersome.

Quick update, after consulting with the boats owner. He finally agreed to get the boat lifted and trailered to the work yard. A sensible decision as I would not guarantee the repair and he did not fancy being stranded with a failed repair and not able to continue.
New motor going in next week, complete with new exhaust system.
