I have one of those laser taco"s. had it quite while, Cheep as chips and works very well
Laser tachometer? Just needs a square of reflective tape stuck to it.
....but after 12 years do I really need one.....?
Off topic and I apologise but a few people mentioned mowers and small engines.
I use this:
Had it a long time, was a tad spendy and could only be got via a friendly dealer but it’s damn handy. 2T and 4T modes. You don’t need the croc as it’s inductive but the croc makes it more accurate
I do not know but as the circumference of the feed roller is a constant, it should be easy to convert a tachometer into one even if it’s by means of a table.Out of interest, does such a thing exist for measuring welder wire feed speed? It’d be nice to know the actual inches per minute rather than just the scale on the potentiometer.
I bought one of them a couple of years ago, now I see a use for it.Laser tachometer? Just needs a square of reflective tape stuck to it.
<in the mood>Reminds me of the days when record decks had patterns of black blocks around the platter to reflect a lamp running at 50Hz... you adjusted the speed control knob until the blocks stood still and hey presto: 78rpm
That's good enough. I have a Chinesium RPMometer to fit on the bike, and I'd never believe the lies it tells me until I can compare it to a decent reliable Britighshs rpmmoeter.I've got an ancient mechanical tachometer, I use it for calibrating rev counters to engines, that's all.
