I swapped them one of my engine dynos (dpx2) for a boring machine. They (Paul) rebuilt it and it sold (to Ireland) for £1700 he told me....Visit SRM engineering and look at their classic bike bits

Be aware that the Strata has been ruined in past years by the 4x4 crowd and is very "challenging" if it's rained much. I admit I haven't been along it for a few years so it may have been improved .

The XDR is an XL, its winchboys, mines in the background in bits, his has no front brake!
And a walk around the Abbey is nice - some really old floor mosaics...
Stayed in Aberystwyth a couple of times when I went to do trail riding with these....

Centre for Alternative Technology, Good fish and chips in Aberareon Lleyn Penisular is lovely but may be a bit far. National Library of Wales, +1 for Devils Bridge Aber itself not much. Bike park Wales may be a bit far, Cader Idris and Dollgelau.

Aberaeron down the road is nice. as above, fish and chips, ice cream, and there was a little sea life centre on the harbourside (2007)

The Halo ice cream factory (they also made other food items) has moved thou' you can still buy ice cream from the shop. I've not tried the Turkish delight flavour.
first went to CAT when I was about 13 (51 now) and I remember being impressed with what they were doing as it was "the future". Went again a couple of years ago and I thought that it had stagnated, they were no longer looking to the future, researching what we should be doing in 20 or 30 years time, they were still promoting the same as back in the day - wind/solar etc. I wanted to see shoebox sized city powering generators running on a handful of potato peelings per day....

Unfortunately there are plenty examples of careless use of 'Green Lanes' by both 4 and 2 wheel vehicles, it really ****** me off to see the off piste tracks left by people who think its their playground
Strata did have a TRO for repairs to be carried out but is again open to vehicle use
Water levels can be challenging if there has been significant rainfall, have been a submarine in the past on 1 of the crossings but in fairer weather a standard 4x4 with no snorkle is fine
