Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has this type of limestone in their fireplace and if you've had any issues with it in such a setting?
I know that it is prone to fading if laid outdoors due to the weather in this part of the world, but is there any other characteristic of it that causes problems?
The reason I ask that my local scrap yard is selling 63" x 23.5" x 2" slabs of it for €100 each and I'm thinking of getting a few for my fireplaces. I have already sourced one slab of Kilkenny limestone of similar dimensions, but was quoted €400 for it.
I'm tempted to buy some, but wary of it being problematic down the line.
Maybe @Parm might have some info on it for me?
Thanks.
