I need to get an EICR done in about 2 months time, but want to check off everything myself first.
Now I know it's "inspect and test" but I've over 30 sockets on 4 separate circuits, question is can I use the 3 pin plug adapter on my Fluke 1653 rather than unscrew each socket and test on the terminals with probes ? R1 + R2 test on ring final circuit - DEAD CIRCUIT, ALL WIRES DISCONNECTED FROM CU.
Lighting circuits, insulation resistance test, problem here is I've fitted led units, rather than removable lamps, any suggestions ?
Lastly, can I get an EICR test done on my 3 phase in my attached garage? (this one I'm not touching)
I've a C & G level 2 electrical installation diploma, but didn't go any further due to covid 19 putting all college training online, which was a total disaster and I was self financing, so not going to pay over £3k for poor online teaching, and I realised I'm to old to actually get to the AM2 exam (I'd be 2 years past SPA by then).
