Most of my shorter clamps are clamped to the rafters like that, but there are lots of bits of metal bar stock and planks of wood sat on ladder hooks on the ceiling and various jigs and other bits and bobs attached to every single rafter. There aren't really any clear areas for any more clamps! I quite like having them where they are at the moment as the area behind the motorbike isn't especially useful for anything else.

A bit of fakery on the door i made to make the mdf top bit look like a metal grill and a gift paper display rack, both for the toy shop which is going ok now we can open

It has been said that TYA likes a coffee or 10.
But, I think not.
I only have 5 working coffee machines.
This one will be working, once the paint has fully cured.
This is how it arrived, dirty, almost seized. But complete.
One wall mount leg was broken. The whole machine is cast iron and is brittle.
Striped down. The rust on the mill was surface only, so the whole lot went through a citric acid bath for a week.
The broken lug was repaired.
A suitable bit of bar scrap was brazed into place, I can't locate my cast welding rods.
Then it was shaped and drilled.
The paint, being old baked on stuff was not going to be removed by a modern stripper (Of the shelf), so I went traditional.
Caustic soda, hot.
Drying in the sun, The caustic and citric acid have worked very well.
Paint was next, I could not find a suitable rattle can paint to match the original. So I rummaged.
But.
When refitting the polished wooden handle the handle broke.
Much bad words. Well one.
So out with the hot spanner and brazing rods.
The handle metal was not as good as the body, it was not an easy braze.
Completed, waiting on 2 more things.
Food grade clear coat, will be collected next week.
Then a container to sit underneath the contain the coffee grinds.
But, I think not.

In addition to tie down straps, a couple of days ago I whipped up a support frame and cut some packing pieces to contain the wheels of a hydraulic lift table we are collecting tomorrow. Nothing special, just a little extra security to keep the heavy beast from shifting in transit.

No it’s solid as a rock there’s bracing where can’t be seen and it’s all 50mm box with 30mm heavy wall bracingWould that benefit from some cross bracing?

A coaster from an offcut of the spalted beech:
Goes well with the glass I made from the Whole Earth peanut butter jar.
Thought I'd best test it for medicinal purposes. I've either got a hernia starting or a grumbling appendix!
Edit: It could be just a pulled muscle from lugging that huge Record vice and my old MIG around yesterday I suppose. Better safe than sorry so I'll continue self medicating.

I made an idiot look bad today .
Mercedes Benz A class AMG .
He said me to put my car under a press and he started doing the fool with the throttle .
I've rev up to the limiter and released the throttle (obviously it spitted fire) .
He became white , I've closed the windows .
Launch control ( my foot ) once green I've asphalted him ,160km/h in 4th gear in less than 800 meters .
We are practically in lockdown there was nobody else than us on that road I wouldn't have did something like that if there was someone else .
And of course straight road

Back to primer to fix numerous cockups
Two more thin coats of primer
I added 1/35th black basecoat to the first, not a massive change in tint but enough to notice, if/when it needs sanding.
The front recessed bit, where I spilt paint then burnt it with heat lamp, has caused me so many problems. So, sods law, as soon as Id primered it today, a thick black hair landed in it. Not mine I dont have any! A blade got it out and another spray hid most of the damage.

Watch out for drivers who have done little or no driving because of Covid coming back to the roads ( Kram and all other two wheelers ) . Especially for those who tilt their heads back to squint out the bottom of their spectacles & keep their teeth in at the same time.
