Maybe age is making me weaker, but I am convinced that mankind will die out not from some covid bug, but because it is too difficult to open food packaging.

Used to see lots of people with a pressure cooker. Haven’t seen one for many years, too many instant or delivered meals I guess.

Funnily enough just recently purchased one, been taking Ham/Gammon joints round to my parents at Christmas for the old man to cook in the pressure cooker. They've had the said pressure cooker all my life actually asked him about it this time. It was his mother's and he thought she'd got it off her mother his Granny. Anyway turned out to be made by a company called Prestige and there still on the go, bought one and the only trouble I'm having is leaving the Ham alone after it comes out

I'm having to use a pair of mole grips to open up some types of can with a ring pull lid. Gout and arthritis have weakened my fingers a fair bit

There you go !!! When I was a lad I remember Stanley blades last like forever - now its seems 2 or 3 cuts and you have to change them.

I found two and a half pressure cookers when clearing Dad's old house but no sets of weights, daft thing is I've still got them, not that they can be used without the weights or on our induction hob.

Aaaah the fur lined French letters! Didn’t they do a deluxe version with a zip
Anyone remember the Esso tyres, they had a damage guarantee, damage it & they would replace FOC. All the motor club I was in used them for trials, if you wrecked them take them back, there was a friendly Esso garage. After a while Esso cottoned on & stopped the unconditional bit. Good while it lasted.

when Esso ran the advert “Put a tiger in your tank” the local Jet station put up a poster ”with added TSR” the owner said it stood for tiger sh*t remover!
