I'm building it so that IF I ever wanted to compete I could but qt the moment I'm just building it in a style I like, if I was ever going to rally id be more lightly to do it in one of my dads novas and they're quite fast and nimble. And less expensive to crashInto a road rally car? ie you are a member of a motor club and want to compete? If not, then look first - you may well find a modified car either puts you into a silly class, or you aren't allowed to use it anyway. If you are starting, then a boggo standard modern car will suit you better and you can just add on event insurance each time - it'll be cheaper and easier. If you are just starting, engine size won't be the limiting factor to position in the results anyway - you'll be thrashed by more experienced drivers/navigators in one litre micras
