I'm lucky I guess, Mine is a very late Mk3!Yes, they were called Rotoflex couplings
Triumph GT6 MK11 and early MKIII had them on the rear drive shaft a and the 1300 FWD had them as well on the driveshafts
Changing the GT6 Rotoflex was a bit of a mission, the coupling came banded so you could fit it and then cut the banding once installed.
There was a special Churchill tool to decompress them which I used to have along with a shed load of other Triumph tooling but a messy divorce saw me lose them
I have made do with BIG jubilee clips to decompress the couplings
I worked out you could cut the old Rotoflex off if it already hadn't fallen apart, cut the banding on the new coupling and leaver it over the ears on the outer shaft and then recompress it to get the bolts in.
Why? Getting the outer shaft out of the hub and back in was a proper mission

Finished yesterday. Started this a few months ago, but realised I needed a larger welding table.
Now fitted under my power hacksaw.
All I need to do now is work out where to mount the electrics box.

The front casters are braked, rear fixed. If it rocks back and fore I'll lift lift it and put a wood beam behind the front wheels and the same at the rear, but parallel to the wheels (cannot put a beam in front of the rear wheels as the saw is tail heavy.
Forget the saw, an uncovered photo of the registered traction engine please

Made replacements for the braindead hardened tip screws which hold the parallel guide in place on the Bosch 12V saw. Only used that guide once, & they left the inevitable gouges/burrs on it.
As you can see, where it used to say 13.

Displayed as a working engine, ie as the full size engines would have looked in there working days.
Not many shows happening this year, but hopefully a few more next year, and if I'm going to keep on road running it I will have to put rubber tyres on it.
It's partly dismantled to sort out the incorrectly drilled weigh shaft bracket, but as no shows till June it's on the back burner for the moment.

started looking like a (almost) finished pit...
I like that - when the wheels dull down a bit, it'll look perfect
I keep looking at Steam Traction World site . . . while I own the gear, and can design stuff to be made on it, my skills in actually doing so to a decent tolerance are less than ideal.
